At St Ambrose Catholic Primary School Concord West we deeply value the importance of student voice in all aspects of school life and our community is richer through the authentic input of students. The development of community minded individuals who are committed to making their world a better place begins as children. The importance of student voice is fundamental to our school wide pedagogy of “Think Big, Question Why and Act Justly” and fostered through our school wide approaches to learning as well as through formal leadership and service opportunities.
There is a high level of involvement in our Mini Vinnies group and the annual Pope Francis Awards Program. Our peer elected Student Representative Council is elected twice per year and meet weekly to work through initiatives developed by the students themselves. Our Year 6 leadership team is inclusive of elected leadership positions of School Captains, Colour House Captains as well as Wellbeing, Environmental and Liturgy Leaders.
